Bluenose II is an exact replica of the historic sailing ship "The Bluenose". The original schooner was built in Lunenburg in the 1920s and was used for many years before it sank off a reef in Haiti.

This is such an important and iconic piece of Canadian history, the Bluenose is on the Canadian dime. The Bluenose II, is operated by the Lunenburg Marine Museum Society and celebrates Lunenburgs maritime history.

You can take a boat tour/cruise on the ship (advanced booking required) OR you can simply walk on the ship (for free) if it's at port.
