The best part about the Tunnel Mountain campgrounds is that you can take the bus into town and avoid parking in Banff. You'll need $2 for the return ride but the bus is super easy to navigate. It also runs to several popular trailheads.

You do need a Parks Pass to stay here. Reservations are required, you can get them online or try calling day of (before 1pm) or showing up to see if there are any cancels (after 2pm)
