A large, primitive campground with basic but clean facilities, offering a mix of open, sunny sites and more private, treed spots about a 20-minute drive from town. It's a lifesaver when other campgrounds are full, providing a peaceful night's sleep under the stars. Campfires are not permitted here.

Super convenient as you can just roll up to this campground without a reservation. It does sometimes overflow, but on weekdays it is pretty easy to get a spot. If you're staying in the area a while you can rebook your spot each morning. There are no showers or electric hookups but pit toilets and garbages are available.
