Prepare to be amazed by one of Canada's second tallest waterfall, a truly powerful sight to behold. From the moment you park, the views are spectacular, and a short, easy 15-minute walk along a paved path brings you right to the base of this thundering giant. You'll feel the cool mist on your face as you get closer, a refreshing reminder of nature's force, especially when the glacial melt is at its peak in early summer. At Takkakaw Falls, you are also at the start of the Iceline Trail which connects so many incredible views together. If you can't commit to an overnight trek, I recommend taking a short but steep hike to Yoho Lake to get a taste of the Iceline.

I also love getting along the road shots here! The road frames the waterfall perfectly.

This road is not advised for RVs. I would not drive anything longer than a Ford Transit to the end. There is one extremely annoying hairpin turn on an incline where it is difficult to see oncoming traffic. I have to make it a three point turn in my 2006 Sprinter, as do most vans.

You need a Parks Pass to visit here.
