The Haines Junction Visitor Information Centre is your go-to spot for all things Haines Junction and the Kluane region. Located on the Alaska Highway, this centre is open from May to September and offers travel tips, local art displays, and a warm welcome to visitors. Whether you need advice on exploring Kluane or just want to chat with friendly staff, swing by the VIC for a dose of Yukon hospitality.
Eryn's Tips:
Indigenous culture is the heart of the Yukon, and I highly encourage everyone to stop by local cultural/information centres to learn more while on their trip! I have memories of stopping by the old VIC in Haines Junction and have recently visited the new building. It is beautiful and full of so much detail and history about the area!
There is also a gift shop with some beautiful indigenous goods. Apparently, they sometimes have these amazing beaded keychains, so if you ever see them there, let me know and I will be hopping into my car ASAP!
