Eryn's Tips:
The KDCC is stunning and worth a walk through while in Whitehorse! There is a lot of information on local Indigenous history and culture, along with a small shop that sells indigenous art! I once saw the most beautiful pair of locally made moccasins I had ever seen in the KDCC, and I still wish I had bought them many years later!
There are often events happening at the KDCC, including Christmas markets, cultural festivals and local dinners and celebrations. Definitely check out the website to see what's planned for your trip!
I have recently discovered that the KDCC offers a Sewing Circle that meets every Thursday night at 5:00 pm. Apparently, you can do any type of fibre art, not just sewing! I have been wanting to stop by and check it out, so if anyone visits and wants to go with me, let me know!
