Eryn's Tips:
The Millennium Trail is a great 4.4 km loop around the Yukon River in downtown Whitehorse! The perfect running or walking loop to get outside and explore the beauty of downtown Whitehorse. I will often head out for a run or walk on the trail if I want to get outside but don't want to be alone in the wilderness, or if I want a generally flat trail. You will walk through the forest, across a bridge overlooking the powerful river after being let through the dam, through our downtown campground and around back to the parking lot.
Although you may feel like you're in the city, there are still black bear sightings on this loop, so make sure to be prepared! There are often many people around walking at all times (even at -40 in the winter), though, so don't worry! You may also see eagles as there is a nest close by, and signs of beavers chomping down trees!
