Snafu Lake Campground, located in the Southern Lakes region of Yukon, offers a peaceful retreat for campers. With 9 sites available, it's a great spot for those looking to enjoy the lake system, perfect for canoe trips with its friendly bays and islands. The campground is open from May to October, and although services end in early October, the gate remains open for those who want to extend their stay. Just remember to bring your own wood, toilet paper, and pack out your garbage. Plus, keep an eye out for special fishing restrictions to protect the trout population.

Eryn's Tips:

  • If you're looking for a campground with sandy beaches, this is the spot for you! With all the amenities of a Yukon campground, SNAFU is a great spot to chill in the summer! If you want to get away from the crowds, there is also a separate camping area off the road tucked away in the trees.

  • The lake is beautiful and we have canoed out to one of the beach areas across the lake to camp as well! Make sure you bring all the necessary safety gear if you do this! If you like getting away and camping on your own, I would highly recommend doing this, as there are plenty of areas to set up camp around the lak,e and you can often find areas where people have made campfires and structures as well! If you are going to camp outside of the campground, make sure to check local fire warnings and bans and not bring everything out with you!
