Why it’s here:

La Viña is home to the most famous Basque burnt cheesecake in San Sebastián. Rich, ultra-creamy in the centre with a caramelised, lightly burnt top, it’s become the benchmark for this style and the classic sweet finish to a pintxos crawl in the Old Town.

Tip:

Expect queues and very limited seating. Order at the counter and either eat quickly standing or take it to go. It’s best shared if you’ve already eaten a lot, and pairs perfectly with a coffee or a small glass of sweet wine.
