The Thur Waterfalls, located near the village of Unterwasser, Switzerland, are a spectacular natural wonder. With impressive views of cascading water and steep rock faces, the falls are particularly beautiful when snow melts from nearby mountains or after extended periods of rainfall. A lovely ten-minute walk from the village square will bring visitors to the waterfall where you can follow the paved path and even hike to the top of the fall.
HOW TO GET THERE:
Start at Unterwasser village. It is a short 750 meters walk from the parking lot to reach the waterfalls. For cars there is a free parking nearby Coop store. Once you reach the waterfall you can get closer to it by following the path or take the stairs that leads you to the upper part of the fall. Free to visit but totally worth your time
