🗻 How long to spend in Ushuaia? 3-4 days, minimum. This gives you enough time to see the main sites. But if you love hiking and the outdoors, stay as long as you can/want. There are a lot of hikes and outdoor activities listed in this itinerary as optional add-ons. For example, I've been to Ushuaia twice and stayed 8 days and 12 days. I've never been bored.
How to get around Ushuaia?
🚘Rental Car: This is the best option. You have the most freedom to get around without relying on taxis and shuttle bus schedules, allowing you to squeeze more into each day. Roads are either paved or in good condition with no need for a 4x4. Taxis and tours do add up and you may find that the rental car is the best value. Check rates here.
🚕Taxis/Uber: That said, you can take a taxi or Uber to get around, as well.
🚌Shuttles: There are shuttles and minibuses to the most popular destinations like the national park and Laguna Esmeralda. It is not public transport and cost around 25-30 USD round trip.
🚌Tours: You can also rely on tours that include transportation.
