Tucked away in the peaceful village of Drayton, The Robin Hood is a charming, family-run country pub that's all about good food, warm welcomes and relaxed vibes. Owned by sisters Shirley and Debbie, it's been part of the local community since 1825 and still holds that cosy, traditional feel.

Kids will love the spacious beer garden, which includes a decent play area and football goals to keep them entertained. The pub is dog-friendly too!

The menu is packed with hearty pub classics made from fresh, locally sourced ingredients. Think steak and ale pie, beer-battered cod and chips and a variety of vegetarian and vegan options. There's also a dedicated children's menu with favourites like chicken bites and macaroni cheese.

We recently enjoyed a lovely 3-mile circular walk starting and ending at The Robin Hood. The route takes you through picturesque countryside, alongside gentle streams, through serene woodlands, and past the elegant gardens of a nearby manor house. It's an easy, family-friendly trail that offers a bit of everything.
