Honestly, this place feels like someone dropped a bit of Wales in the middle of Warwickshire. Rolling hills, dramatic views, sheep casually minding their own business—Burton Dassett is one of our favourite spots for a proper breath of fresh air.
🌅 The Ultimate Sunset Spot
If you’re into golden hour magic, this is where you want to be. Pack up a picnic, head up in the late afternoon, and you’ll get the most gorgeous views as the sun sets across the hills. It’s got that out-in-the-wilderness vibe without being too far from home.
🧺 Bring a Picnic & Let the Kids Roam
There’s loads of space for kids to run wild, roll down hills and climb the little rocky outcrops. You can bring bikes, but it’s more of a wild, up-and-down walk-y kind of place.
🐑 Sheep
Yep, sheep wander about freely and just add to the whole “are we in Snowdonia?” feel. So maybe keep sandwiches in a sealed tub 😅
📍 Good to Know
Location: Near Avon Dassett, CV47 2AB
Parking: £2.50 all day, card machine and app available
Toilets: Yes – basic but there
Dog-friendly: 100%, just watch out for sheep
Shoes: Trainers or boots – it gets steep and muddy in places
It’s the kind of place where you just sit and go ahhh… until someone needs a wee or falls over a thistle. 10/10 would recommend.
