This beach is a 10km stretch of coast, filled with red sand and green hills. The magnificent hues of sand differ with daylight and weather, ranging from white through yellow and red. Lots of bird life, and a group of seals tend to sunbathe by the river mouth. Perfect place to relax on a sunny day, and still worth seeing on a gloomy day. There is a French coffee house there where, on a clear day, you can enjoy views of Snæfellsjökull glacier in the distance.
