The Treschhütte, managed by the SAC Sektion Am Albis, is a cozy mountain hut located at 1479 meters, in the picturesque Fellital in Uri, Switzerland. It offers a perfect blend of rustic charm and modern amenities, making it an ideal retreat for families and outdoor enthusiasts. With a total of 32 sleeping places, including two small family rooms, the hut provides comfortable accommodation. It is hidden inside a lush forest and the hike to get up there is super beautiful, following the river.

HOW TO GET THERE:

Take the bus to Gurtnellen, Fellital. From here follow the sign towards Treschhütte. The hike is mostly in the forest but that should not discourage you. It is beautiful. You will be following a river before you reach the hut.

It can take 2 - 2,5 hours to reach the hut, with 770 meters of elevation.

Once there, stop for their cake, chat with the hut keepers and enjoy the scenery.

TIP: if you are looking for more an adventure, you can make you way up to Fellihorn Taghorn ( 2053m) mountain peak, which is located behind the hut. It will add an extra 600 meters of elevation but the views can make up for it.
