St Giles' Cathedral, also known as the High Kirk of Edinburgh, is a historic church located in the heart of the Old Town in Edinburgh, Scotland. It has been around since the 12th century and has seen many changes over the years. The current building was constructed in the 14th century and has undergone various renovations and additions. It played a significant role in Scottish history, particularly during the Reformation, when it became a Protestant church under the leadership of John Knox. Today, St Giles' Cathedral is not only an active place of worship but also a popular tourist attraction, drawing in over a million visitors each year.
