Located right across the road from the Glacier Lagoon, Diamond Beach is a must visit place especially for every landscape photographer (fantastic spot for long exposures).

🅿️ Parking: 1.000 (Parka app - 50% Discount if car also parked at Skaftafell same day)

• there're two parking lots. West and East. I think the East side is better, but sometimes the ice gets washed out only to one side, so it depends. Either way you only pay once for the parking.

📝 Notes : You never know how much ice there will be washed out. Sometimes the beach is full of ice, sometime there's barely anything making visitors feel like they've been tricked. Just keep that in mind, but hopefully you will find some stunning diamonds on the beach!

🚁 Drones: Prohibited from April 15th to July 15th

During the following times of the day, drones can be used in the area

• July 15th to September 21st – before 09:00 or after 18:00.

• September 22nd to October 21st – before 10:00 or after 17:00.

• October 22ndto November 21st – before 11:00 or after 15:00.

• November 22nd to January 21st – before 12:00 or after 14:00.

• January 22nd to February 21st – before 11:00 or after 15:00.

• February 22nd to March 21st – before 10:00 or after 17:00.

• March 22nd to April 15th – before 09:00 or after 18:00.
