Hafragilsfoss is a stunning waterfall known for its impressive 30-meter drop and 90-meter width. Situated within Vatnajökull National Park, it's the second largest waterfall on the Jökulsárgljúfur canyon, just a stone's throw away from the mighty Dettifoss.

Accessible from both sides from viewing platforms or you can also hike down, however the trail can be a bit sketchy and challenging at some places.

🚶Distance from car: A short 10 min walk

❄️ Winter: Road 864 on the east side is closed and paved 862 on the west side closes too when snow comes. That said i've seen it reopen when there's a decent weather forecast/not much snow.
📝 Note: On the west side, the parking lot is before main Dettifoss parking (look for a gravel road)
