• You will need a bigger SUV due to river crossings on the way

• The last river crossing Krossá should only be done in a superjeep and experienced driver - the alternative is to drive to Krossá a use the footbridge over the river

• You can also take a guided tour or a bus (disadvantage here is that it doesn't stop at scenic place long the way)

• Many hiking trails to explore in Þórsmork as well as hidden gorges
