I know, in most cities you want to avoid the traditional city sightseeing – especially when it comes in a red bus. But in Cape Town, I really recommend it! Lots of the sights are actually not really close to one another or not well connected by public transportation and if you don't want to rent a car, uber drives can add up. The bus takes you up to the Table Mountain Cable Car station and to the Constantia Winelands too. So it's a proper win-win: You can drink win, learn something and don't have to drive yourself! Depending on which ticket you pick on their website, a cruise and a ticket to the cable car are also included.
