Authentic adventure seekers will love exploring the Cave of Munits through El Escorpion Trail, located in West Hills, California. This 1.7 mile loop trail is a moderately challenging route perfect for those looking to indulge in birdwatching, hiking, and rock climbing.

Found in Los Angeles City Parks, this area is open year round and contains a variety of flora and fauna that visitors can expect to see. The real treat, though, lies within the cave that is only accessible with some light climbing. Once inside, prepare to be transported to an unforgettable world of deep crevices filled with ancient rock formations and native wildlife including birds, bunnies, and more!

There is a climbing rope at the entrance of the cave, where some rock climbing is necessary to get inside the cave. There is no other entrance or access to the cave. A challenging adventure, but worth it!

Pet-friendly: Yes, but they must be kept on leash and please pack out their trash

Soft adventure: Yes, but if you decide to climb up in to the cave, it will not be

Seasonality: All seasons

Fee: Free
