Disclaimer: DO NOT attempt to hike down to the bridge. There are signs ALL over the trails prohibiting people from hiking down due to the many deaths that occur there. Don't be one of those people.
Also, we understand this isn't in California, but due to it's close proximity to California, and Redwood National Park, we felt it would be a good idea to include in this guide.
The Natural Bridges are a series of striking sea arches carved by the relentless Pacific Ocean along the rugged southern Oregon coast. These iconic formations are best viewed from a wooden platform accessible via a short trail from the parking area at mile marker 346 on Highway 101. The viewpoint offers a panoramic vista of the arches, blowholes, and the churning sea below, making it a popular spot for photography, especially during sunrise and sunset.
Trails: From the parking lot, the are two trails that fork off in to different directions. We found the best views to be from the Natural Bridges Cove: North Island Viewpoint (China Beach) Trail.
Pet-friendly: Yes, but must be leashed and well-behaved (and stay on trail)
Soft adventure: Yes, absolutely! If you stay on the designated trail.
Seasonality: All seasons
