Slate Creek Trail Campground in Portola Redwoods State Park offers a primitive camping experience surrounded by towering redwoods and the Pacific Ocean. With no campfires allowed, this spot is perfect for nature lovers looking to disconnect and immerse themselves in the great outdoors. While amenities are minimal, the stunning woodsy setting makes up for it, providing a peaceful retreat for those seeking a rustic camping adventure.

This is a hike-in campground only, and the Slate Creek Trail is roughly 2.75-miles from the visitors center, to the campsite. Of all the sites available, we'd recommend sites 1-4 if available.
