Artist Point Trail in Yosemite National Park offers a 2-mile out-and-back hike with stunning views of El Capitan, Bridalveil Falls, and more. This moderately challenging trail takes about 1 hour and 22 minutes to complete with no stops and is a great alternative to the crowded Tunnel View. The trail winds through a pine and aspen forest before opening up to panoramic vistas at Artist Point. It's a popular spot for hiking, snowshoeing, and running, but remember to leave your furry friends at home as dogs aren't allowed on this trail.

The first half of the trail is a near constant incline (700ft) that follows a creek, and there are portions where you may need to wade through the water or hike on ice. So make sure to wear waterproof shoes/boots with a good tread. We'd recommend doing this hike at sunset, versus sunrise which is when these photos were taken.

Pet-friendly: No, pets are not permitted

Soft adventure: No

Seasonality: All seasons (possible closure during winter)

Fee: Park entry fees change from season to season ($20-$35)
