The gorge with freezing water and a hot spring

Waterfall

Emma Gorge is a stunning natural wonder! It is one of the deepest gorges we have seen with a spectacular waterfall and a permanent waterhole at the bottom. The water is freezing, probably the coldest we have experienced in WA, but on the right hand side of the pool under the rocks there's a natural hot spring.

Freshies can be found in the plunge pool, make sure you don't go bother them, apart from that they are safe to swim with.

The walk to the gorge is quite easy, it's 3,2km return and takes around 1 hour.

Photo tip: head there before the sun is high in the sky for the best lighting! Use a wide angle lens if possible to get the whole gorge in the photo

It is inside the El Questro Wilderness Park which requires a pass to enter that can be purchased at the visitor centre. Day pass is 12$p.p., week pass is 23$ p.p.
