There is a trail that goes partly around the lake from the Waterfowl Lakes Campground. There are a few different places we could stop that would be less busy than the viewpoint pullout. Although the highway will is right behind the main stop so you'll likely hear some cars going by.

You can also bring a canoe, kayak, or paddle board for a fun paddle around the lake.
