Dynjandi is a dramatic tiered waterfall in the Westfjords that you can reach from a small roadside parking area, followed by a short, sometimes muddy walk of roughly 10 to 20 minutes to the base and a steeper set of steps if you want more views of the upper cascades. Wear sturdy, grippy shoes and a waterproof jacket because spray and wet rocks make the path slippery, and bring snacks since services are scarce nearby. Expect to spend 30 to 60 minutes exploring and taking photos, and note that winter access can be limited since some of the gravel portions of road 60 to Dynjandi are not serviced for snow clearance from October to April.
There are some unpaved sections on the way to Dynjandi (not F-Roads), but if you take it slow you should have no issue getting there in a 2WD unless it is or has been raining. Please make sure you have gravel insurance on your rental car!
