One of the most photographed river crossings in Iceland is located on F232, where the road crosses a river in front of a waterfall! You do need a 4x4 since this is in the highlands and it's only accessible during summer (use https://umferdin.is/en to check current road conditions). Make sure to check the depth of the river before crossing!
