Earth Lagoon Mývatn, formerly known as the Mývatn Nature Baths, is undergoing a full renovation and is expected to reopen in spring 2026 with updated facilities and a refreshed look! This geothermal lagoon has long been a favorite in North Iceland thanks to its mineral-rich waters and views over the Mývatn area.

It's a great alternative to the Blue Lagoon, still popular, but generally less crowded and more relaxed, especially if you're already exploring the north. It’s an easy stop near Lake Mývatn and works well as a break after a day of sightseeing.
