Kirkjufellsfoss is the classic photo spot you’ve probably seen a hundred times, the small waterfalls in the foreground with Kirkjufell mountain rising behind them. This is an easy sightseeing stop with a parking area nearby and a short walk to the viewpoints.

Because it’s so well known, this area can get busy, especially midday. If you want fewer people, early morning or later in the evening is best.

To avoid paying for parking, there is a small pull-off if you drive past the main lot that's free! Right when we parked, a horse walked up to us at the nearby fence, so keep an eye out, they're very friendly!
