Klifbrekkufossar is a striking series of seven cascading waterfalls in East Iceland.
Reaching Klifbrekkufossar requires a drive along Road 953, a gravel mountain road connecting the Ring Road to Mjóifjörður. The drive takes about an hour from Egilsstaðir and includes a steep mountain pass. During summer, the road is typically accessible to most vehicles in good weather, including 2WD, as long as you take it slow (use https://umferdin.is/en to check current road conditions).
There are small roadside pull-outs near the waterfall, and it's about a 15-minute walk to get there :) Keep in mind the paths are unmarked, and it can be steep and uneven at times, so make sure to bring the right shoes!
