Voted the best beach in the world in 2023, Lucky Bay is one of the most incredible beaches in Australia, and it’s not hard to see why. It’s most famous for the kangaroos that often hop up and down the shoreline, making it one of the most iconic spots in the country.

With its idyllic backdrop of turquoise water and pure white sand, Lucky Bay is a must visit. The kangaroos are usually around in the mornings, so sunrise is the best time to catch a glimpse of them on the beach. You can also drive along the beach as the sand is usually hard enough that even 2WD vehicles can make it, but it’s always best to check the conditions first.

Entry into the national park is $17 per vehicle or you can purchase a WA All Park Pass for $130 which gives you unlimited entry to any WA park for 12 months and can be purchased at the park office at entry or online. There is also a campground right next to this beach which makes it the perfect spot to stay while you explore the area. Camping is $20 per person per night.
