Queenstown is the perfect starting point for this road trip. I loved this city immediately, like within the first hour I was already saying I could easily spend a full week here.

It has such a good energy. Everything is super walkable, with beautiful paths along the lake, parks everywhere, and even great skateparks for the kids. You can just wander and it somehow always feels scenic.

And the food scene is so good. There are so many great spots packed into a small area, which makes it really easy with kids.

It’s one of those places that feels equal parts adventure and ease, and such a fun place to kick off a trip.
