Aoraki / Mount Cook National Park felt like stepping straight into Lord of the Rings. The scale of it is just unreal, mountains, glaciers, that icy blue water, it’s all so dramatic in the best way.

What I loved most is how accessible it is. You don’t have to do anything crazy to experience it. There are so many easy hikes with insane payoff, like the Hooker Valley Track, where you’re walking through this massive landscape with glacier views the entire time.

Between the lakes, the mountains, and the way everything feels so untouched, it’s one of those places that just keeps making you stop and look around. Truly jaw-dropping the whole time. I recommend spending two days here if you have the time.
