Renting bikes and riding along Lake Wānaka ended up being one of our favorite things we did the whole trip.

The path is so pretty the entire way, right along the water with mountains in the background, and it’s super easy to ride. The boys were able to bike on their own, which made it even more fun, and there were little things along the way that kept it interesting, fairy doors tucked into the trees, a small pump track, just enough to keep them excited the whole time.

My husband said it was one of his favorite travel memories ever and his favorite part of the whole trip, which says a lot.
