Hook Wānaka looked like such a fun, different experience. You basically catch your own salmon and then they cook it up for you right there, which is so cool.

We didn’t end up doing it, but it felt really family-friendly and like something the kids would’ve loved. It’s one of those activities that’s a little more interactive and memorable than just going out to eat.

They also have other food options (like pizza) if not everyone wants to fish, so it feels like a good, easy stop either way. Definitely one I’d try next time.
