This one feels a little more adventurous, but so worth it. You start with a short walk across a swing bridge to some really beautiful waterfalls, then head up through this lush beech forest. The climb gets steep in parts and can be a little muddy with rocks and roots, but it’s all part of it. At the top, you come out into this insane hanging valley with the bright turquoise water of Lake Marian, surrounded by huge, dramatic peaks that are often snow-capped. It is 3.5 miles roundtrip and is not stroller friendly. A more adventurous hike but worth it!
