Stargazing at Lake Pukaki was easily the best I’ve ever seen in my life. It didn’t even feel real, like you’re just standing there and the sky is completely filled, it honestly felt like we were in space.

We went out after the kids were asleep, just stood there looking up, and then our 6-year-old randomly woke up and came out to join us. He ended up seeing two shooting stars, and the excitement on his face… I’ll never forget it.

One of those moments that feels so simple but ends up being one of the best memories of the whole trip.
