Lake Wakatipu is one of those places you just keep coming back to. It’s such a beautiful lake and honestly just a really good place to hang out for a bit. The water is that deep, clear blue with mountains surrounding you, it feels like you’re in the middle of a postcard.

You can keep it super simple here. Walk along the lake, let the kids run around, find a spot to sit for a while, or go for a swim if you’re up for it (it’s cold, but worth it). It’s one of those easy stops that doesn’t need a big plan.
