We were a little last minute with booking and it was fully booked, but this would definitely be the preferred spot if you can plan ahead.

Milford Sound Lodge is the only place you can stay right in Milford Sound, which is what makes it so special. You’re literally in the middle of it all, surrounded by rainforest, waterfalls, and that unreal scenery.

We ended up staying at Cascade Creek Campsite instead, which was still such a great option and really convenient. But being able to wake up in Milford Sound would’ve been next level.

It has great facilities too, kitchen, lounge, everything you need, but the real draw is just the location. If you can get a spot here, it’s 100% worth it.
