Cascade Creek Campsite is the move if you want really easy access to Fiordland National Park.

It’s right in the middle of everything, which makes it perfect if you want to get an early start toward Milford Sound or if you’re just done after a long day and don’t feel like driving all the way back to town.

You do need a reservation, but it’s super affordable and totally worth it for the location. The campsite itself is really pretty, tucked into the trees with a creek running through it, and there’s even a lake right nearby.

It’s simple, but in the best way, and one of the most convenient places to stay if you’re exploring Fiordland.
