The Milford cruise is a must if you’re visiting Milford Sound. It’s the best way to actually take it all in, you’re right on the water, surrounded by those massive cliffs and waterfalls.

We went with a smaller boat, which I loved because there were way fewer people and it felt a little more personal. But honestly, I don’t think you can go wrong no matter who you book with, the scenery does all the work.

You get up close to the waterfalls, see seals, and just experience how huge and dramatic everything is. It’s one of those things that really lives up to the hype.
