Nachi Waterfall is a mesmerizing sight to behold, tucked away deep in the evergreen primeval forest of Nachisan, Wakayama-ken. At 133 meters, it is Japan's tallest, uninterrupted single drop waterfall. With its thundering sound and mysterious aura, this natural wonder welcomes all visitors with awe-inspiring majesty. It is a sacred site, having been worshipped by locals as divine spirits for centuries before religion formed. Nowadays, visitors can gain further insight into its spiritual energy by visiting Hiro Shrine at the foot of the falls or ascending the stone staircase up to Kumano Nachi Taisha Grand Shrine at the top. Nearby, the harmonious combination of Shintoism and Buddhism intertwines at Seiganto-ji Temple to create a beautiful backdrop for the waterfall.
