Galleria Umberto I is a stunning shopping gallery situated in the heart of Naples. Built between 1887-1890, this spectacular building was designed with modern architectural elements by Emanuele Rocco, resembling Milan's Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II. Built as part of Naples’ ‘risanamento’, which translated means to make the city healthy again, the Galleria is an incredibly impressive structure and sports a glass dome braced by 16 metal ribs. Boasting five floors, there are many shops, cafés and private apartments to explore within this majestic building, making it an ideal location for anyone looking to shop, eat or reside!

Inside you can find some shops, the biggest bookshop in Italy (a shop of Mondadori), Mcdonald's and even Starbucks (even though I wouldn't recommend going to Starbucks, as in Naples you can drink the best espresso in the world).
