Forlimpopoli is a historic town located in the region of Emilia-Romagna, in Northern Italy. It's located between the towns of Forlì and Cesena along the Via Emilia. It's a small town but has ancient origins, dating back to the Romans.

It's the hometown of gastronome Pellegrino Artusi, who was the first person to make an Italian Recipe Book. Here, you can find 'Fondazione Casa Artusi', where you can take cooking class or just dine there (highly recommend the cooking class though).

Forlimpopoli is a small town, but I would include it in an itinerary of this part of Romagna. You can visit nearby Cesena, Forlì, Castrocaro Terme and Terra del Sole, making it the perfect weekend. It's in a more local part of Italy, and you'll mostly find Italians here, so it's perfect for those that want to immerse themselves in the Italian culture.
