Forlì is a small town located in the Emilia-Romagna region, and it's a beautiful place to explore if you want to discover smaller cities in Italy. It's a great choice for a day trip from either Bologna or Ravenna, or it can be included in a weekend itinerary of the surrounding areas. I did a long weekend in the area and had an amazing time exploring this often overlooked part of Italy.

Among the main sights to visit in Forlì are the Rocca di Ravaldino, a medieval fortress, and the San Domenico Museum, which is home to a beautiful art collection. It's lovely to wander through the beautiful streets of the city, discover its arcades and visit its churches.
