Salmon Arm is an approachable and down-to-earth city on the shores of beautiful Shuswap Lake. It's a great place to stop before heading into the more mountainous areas of BC.

With a blend of innovative new retailers and long-established favourites, downtown Salmon Arm has something for everyone. And true to the down-to-earth nature of the Shuswap, almost all of the businesses are independent and locally owned. There is a year round Farmers Market held every Saturday from 9am to 1pm.

Be sure to stroll the wooden wharf on Salmon Arm's waterfront - it's the longest in North America! Little Mountain Park is worth a look for short trails, one leads to a great viewpoint over the city. The Foreshore/Raven Trail is a lovely wide, flat path following Shuswap Lake shoreline.
