Take the signed detour from Highway 1 to explore downtown Golden and discover heritage buildings, cool bars and unique shops, all with the backdrop of the rushing Kicking Horse River and huge snow capped mountains.

A local Farmer's Market runs every Wednesday from June to September in Spirit Square, 10am to 3pm.

There is free live music in the nearby Keith King Memorial Sports Field every Wednesday evening during the summer months (Summer Kicks concert series).
