The bright turquoise colour of Peyto Lake has to be seen to believed! An elevated platform provides a great viewing area of this colourful lake surrounded by huge mountain peaks.

The paved path from the parking lot is uphill, just over 1km return. It is a walk rather than a hike but I have marked it level '2' as it is uphill all the way. Some people may need to stop a few times on the way to get their breath.

A Parks Canada parks pass is required to drive the Icefields Parkway ($22/day for a vehicle of up to 7 people).
