Giant's Head Mountain is a 850m high extinct volcano in Summerland. Not only super easy to access, there's a range of interconnecting hiking trails so you can 'choose your own adventure' to reach the scenic summit!

There is also a narrow paved road leading almost all the way to the top of Giant's Head, open from late spring to early autumn (closed Sundays).

The base parking lot is located at 550m. Following the roadway is the easiest way to the top (2.6km one way with 240m elevation gain, moderate rating). Personally, I like following a mix of the roadway, Friendly Giant and East Ridge Trail on the way up and then the roadway on the return journey. Allow 2-3 hours, whatever route you take.
